The OIEC takes note of the decision of the Russian Federation to invade Ukraine, contrary even to the humanist values ​​of peace and international justice which are the basis of international law, and which serve as guides for maintaining international relations and manage conflicts. He comes to bring his support and his affection to all the Catholic schools of this country, and particularly to The Commission of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of Education (Комісія УГКЦ у справах освіти та виховання), member of the OIEC. We hope that despite these acts of war, the members of The Commission of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of Education (Комісія УГКЦ у справах освіти та виховання), school officials, teachers, staff, students and their families will remain alive and well. We assure them of our prayers, as well as all the Ukrainian people hard hit by this violent and unjust invasion. May the generous Spirit support them, and may he come and guide the action of those who have decided on such violence towards the search for peace.
