Introducing young people to prayer

Introducing young people to prayer

๐ŸŒŸ Aimed at young minds who are curious and in search of spirituality, the booklet “I pray, you pray, we pray…” is a thoughtful publication from the Office International de l’Enseignement Catholique (OIEC).

This book has been designed specifically to meet the needs of the very young, as part of their initiation to prayer and spirituality.

At a time when young people are increasingly busy with a variety of distractions, this booklet is a valuable tool to help them refocus on their inner selves and discover the spiritual world. It is intended as an answer to children’s questions such as “What’s the point of praying? ๐Ÿค””, “Who do we pray to? ๐Ÿ™”, and “Will God answer my prayers? ๐ŸŒˆ “

๐Ÿ“š Through richly illustrated pages and accessible texts, children are invited to explore prayer not only as an act of faith, but also as a privileged means of communication with the divine. The booklet encourages young people to address God with confidence and to see prayer as a special time of day when they can feel listened to and supported.

๐Ÿ’ฌ “๐—๐—ฒ ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ, ๐˜๐˜‚ ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜€, ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜€ ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€…” lays the foundations for regular prayer practice, showing children that praying can be simple and soothing. It also offers clear, reassuring answers to fundamental questions, fostering an initial understanding of the Catholic faith and its importance in everyday life.

๐Ÿ‘ผ This booklet is therefore more than just a guide; it is a companion for young souls wishing to understand and integrate prayer into their lives.

๐Ÿ™Œ With this tool, the OIEC is actively contributing to the spiritual education of children, in line with the Holy Father’s wishes for a youth that is more aware of and connected to its spiritual values.
