for its members. The next congress will be held in New York at Fordham University (Lincoln Center Campus) from 5 to 8 June 2019.

To prepare for the congress, a committee has been formed, bringing together the OIEC Secretary General, the congress Event Manager, representatives from Fordham University, the US Bishops’ Conference, the NCEA, the Marist Brothers and Jerry Cattaro, the OIEC representative to the United Nations in New York.

The theme of this Congress is inspired by the teachings of Pope Francis (Laudato Si) and the commitments of the United Nations (Sustainable Development Goals): “Educating for a humanism of solidarity to build a “civilisation of love”. The world’s Catholic schools are committed”.
This Congress was an opportunity for the world’s Catholic schools to come together at international level to make commitments to the world. More than a hundred speakers from every continent will be presenting their experiences of educational commitment.
