CONTRIBUTIONS AND PUBLICATIONS
I pray, you pray, we pray…
Aimed at young minds who are curious and in search of spirituality, the booklet “I pray, you pray, we pray…” is a thoughtful publication from the Office International de l’Enseignement Catholique (OIEC). It has been designed specifically to meet the needs of young people as part of their introduction to prayer and spirituality.
At a time when young people are increasingly solicited by various distractions, this booklet is a valuable tool to help them refocus on their interiority and discover the spiritual world. It is intended as an answer to children’s questions such as “What’s the point of praying?”, “Who do I pray to?” and “Will God answer my prayers?
Through richly illustrated pages and accessible texts, children are invited to explore prayer not only as an act of faith, but also as a privileged means of communication with the divine. The booklet encourages young people to turn to God with confidence and to see prayer as a special moment in the day when they can feel listened to and supported.
This booklet is therefore more than just a guide; it is a companion for young souls wishing to understand and integrate prayer into their lives.

Religion and Education :
Towards a Pact for Education
On 5 October 2021, Pope Francis invited the leaders of the world’s religions to reflect together on the only dynamism that can change the world we live in and bring it closer to the most precious ideals we can all share: fraternity, equality, freedom, a full life, a commitment to the poor, social transformation…
To highlight the Holy Father’s approach, the OIEC has produced an educational booklet for educational teams, inviting educational communities to work on the simple, profound and decisive ideas that emerged from this meeting. Let’s work together for this noble and urgent educational alliance!
A “Glocal Compact on Education that generates Hope
As part of the preparation and celebration of the Jubilee Year 2025, ‘𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲’, we have designed a new 16-page booklet, available in five languages, entitled: ‘𝗔 “𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹” 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲’.
The purpose of this booklet is to promote the 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 together throughout 2025, by stepping up our efforts and rekindling our commitment to building the Compact from a local perspective, i.e. in every classroom, every school, every neighbourhood and every city.

BUILDING THE EDUCATIONAL PACT FROM THE TERRITORY: the experience of the region of Santander (Colombia)
This book inspires and guides us to transform education and, through it, to build together a new society that is more human, more fraternal, more supportive and more sustainable. The experience of the region of Norte de Santander (Colombia) will encourage Catholic schools to take the initiative to convene and promote together this local and global alliance.
The handbook will be of great help to them in mobilizing the different social sectors for a new and better education. Both push us to be open, to collaborate with others and to show that it is possible to change lives and contexts through education.Download the triptych presenting the book in :

LUCES PARA EL CAMINO
Lights for the way forward: Reflections for the Global Compact on Education
In summer 2020, the OIEC published with SM Editors a new book. Luces para el camino: Pacto Educativo Global provides a collection of ideas from students, parents and leaders of Catholic education – including teachers and principals, on the challenges they see for Catholic education and the unique contributions of schools. The book was prepared as a contribution to the Global Compact on Education. We hope that the book will inspire and encourage readers to reflect, dialogue and collaborate in fulfilling the mission of Catholic schools.
